i'm asking because i couldn't find anything specific on the matter via google. and now i'm beginning to think that it may just be a spelling issue by the supplier from whom i've bought the card (hasn't been delivered yet) and the odd thing is that i paid for it considerably lower than what the 260X would've cost (according to other online suppliers in my country).

i.e. i've bought MY card for 698,00 (roughly 90€) and the 260X 817,00 (roughly 110€) and note that the latter one is 20€ steeper but also has 1GB DDR5 while my is 2GB DDR5. that's why it's so confusing for me.

here are the links to the shop so take a look for yourself...

The 260 is the same gpu as the 260x! The 260 is a bonaire 7790/260x.... quote

The Radeon R7 260 employs a cut-down version of the Bonaire GPU, first seen in the Radeon HD 7790 and then in the Radeon R7 260X. Two of the processor's 14 Compute Units are disabled, resulting in a total of 768 shaders and 48 texture units.

Not at all the 7750, here is a the toms link for a full description.

The R7 260 is a different GPU than the R7 260x. The 260x is a more powerful card, hence the higher price.

Cards sometimes come with different amounts of VRAM, there are GTX780 with 3GB and with 6GB for example. It's the same with these cards, there are 1GB and 2GB versions.

okay thanks guys, so the difference in performance between those two is not that big? would it fare well with a X4 760K and 8GB DDR3 RAM for casual gaming on HD Ready resolutions?
