what is the difference between notebook and netbook , ? from hardwareand software .
Notebooks=standard laptops with screen sizes ranging from 14"-18" or larger
Specs can reach from 1.6ghz single core all the way to quad core 2.6 ghz.
Usually 2 GB of memory or more for now a days. But can easily go up to 8gbs on some of the higher end notebooks.
15.6" screens seem to be the usual
DVD burner standard on almost every notebook, or blu ray player optional.
Often have larger batteries (6 cell compared to netbooks with 3-4 cells)
Webcams sometimes come in the $400+ notebooks.
GPU's can also suck but some higher end models (generally $600+) can come with decent integrated or dedicated mobility GPU's.
Netbooks=Smaller then laptops with screen sizes ranging from 7"-13"
Smaller than notebooks
Specs usually reach from 1.2 ghz single core-2.0 ghz single core. (Sometimes a 1.4 ghz dual core processor can be placed)
No space for a dvd burner
3-4 cell battery standard
Often come with webcams, but not a standard yet.
keyboards are smaller
1gb to 3gbs of memory can be found on netbooks.
GPU's often blow, and with no option for gaming (there is an exception, that's an Asus netbook model= N10 I believe.
