[SOLVED] Difference between test and reality

Hi, I'm in ADSL and my connection is about 400ko/s at its maximum when I download a file. This number is in wifi I also tried to download something with the ethernet cable and it doesn't change anything.
I tried with 4 different pc and I also can feel it with my phone.

The weird thing is that I get 2.79Mo/s with speedtest while I've never even reached 1Mo/s. I called the internet hotline and they told me by their side my internet box is good.

Can you help me to get out of this issue?

Speedtest like almost all other network tools measure in BITS/sec. File downloads are many times in BYTES/sec
It is about 8 times difference so you actually are getting more or less the same transfer rates.
