I do not understand why there are multiple routers with the same specifications and speed but they have different physical appearances and different prices (I think)

What are the major differences between these routers ( except that some are gigabit routers)

Netgear (I chose all the AC1200s)
- R6100
- R6120
- R6200
- R6220
- R6230

Tp Link (Also all the routers capable of AC1200)
- Archer C5
- Archer C50
- Archer C1200

Solution
The difference's are subtle, you should look into the processor's frequency, the amount of ram available per router and the specs of the USB port. Some are USB2.0 while some are USB3.0 - for the Netgear's.

The TP Link routers are separated by the USB ports and the antenna's as well. On another note, I'm familiar with their higher end routers granting more functionality to the end user. Lower priced models are watered down versions of the big brothers.
