I bough a crucial Ballistix sport recently and i was looking to add to it. I bought another one just like it but noticed its VLP(very low profile just in case people don't know). Im wondering if there is any problems that might arise by mixing these two or weather or not they'll play nicely together.
Normal RAM-https://www.amazon.com/Ballistix-Single-PC3-12800-240-Pin-Memory/dp/B006WAGG14/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1515894989&sr=8-1&keywords=crucial+ddr3+4gb+ballistix+sport
VLP-https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-DDR3-1600-PC3-12800-BLS4G3D1609ES2LX0/dp/B00A14ZTTW/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1515895010&sr=1-3-fkmr0&keywords=crucial+ddr3+4gb+ballistix+sport+VLP
I will notethat I am mostly concerned about the timings and other stuff like that that isnt useally in the discription of the items.

Solution
mixing ram is a gamble. it may work, it may not you will not know until you try and test the stability. memtest86 for three passes or so.

the VLP RAM is just shorter. for extremely tight cases like HTPCs and mini-ITX systems.
my suggestion is to replace all the RAM with a matched set and sell the sport.
