Difference in visuals besides fps gtx1050ti vs gtx1080

I've looked every where for the answer to this question and I can't seem to find it. I currently have a gtx1050ti with a 1440p gsync monitor. I only really play 3 games, battlefield 1, 4, and wildlands. I can play both battlefields at 1440p high settings vsync off at a consistent 60ish fps give or take a few. My questions is, besides the fps increase with a gtx1080, if you played the same game at the same resolution and same settings (high in this case) visually would the game look the EXACT same as it did on the 1050ti? Odd question but I would think it would.

Yes. If you play the same game, at the same resolution, with the same settings the only difference between a 1050 Ti and a 1080 would be the framerate.

Of course the framerate difference would be very large and a 1080 would allow you to run much higher settings in most demanding games.

As someone who runs a GTX 1070 on a 1440p 144Hz Gsync monitor I'm surprised you are even able to get 60 FPS in Battlefield 1 with high settings at that resolution.

Yea, its a pretty well optimized game. I guess ill hold off until the new nvidia cards are release. And for people wondering its a dell 2417dg monitor and evga gtx1050ti (the cheapest one) with an i7 7700k. Play almost all my games at 1440p at medium to high settings. Pretty damn good card for its price if you ask me...

You can wait until the next generation of Nvidia cards come out but it won't change the answer to your original question. A new card won't make the graphics better when you are playing at the same resolution and the same settings. All that will change is the framerate unless you change the resolution or settings.

There is a massive difference in performance between a 1050 Ti and a 1080. The monitor you mention here is 144Hz. I know because I have the same one. If I were you I would look into a 1070 or 1070 Ti so you can actually take advantage of that high refresh monitor. A 1070 Ti is very close in performance to a 1080 and it costs a bit less. A 1070, 1070 Ti, or 1080 will give you much higher framerates at higher quality settings than what you are seeing with your 1050 Ti.

That 1050 Ti is really meant more for 1080p 60Hz gaming than 1440p 144Hz gaming.
