Differences between thermal pastes and question

Hey, I ordererd a Corsair H105, I currently got a Intel i7 2700k stock cooler.

When I switch the coolers, will I then have to apply thermal paste? Also, will I have to remove the old thermal paste from the cpu?

And, what is the differences between thermal pastes. I think I will buy Noctua NT-H1, is that good or is there no differences between thermal pastes?

H105 comes with thermal paste already, just need to carefully clean the old stuff off with isopropyl alcohol first.

There should be pre-applied thermal paste on that cooler (H105), but is always a nice idea to change it with a quality paste. Yes you have to clean the old thermal paste to put the new one. Take a look at this video:

This guy tells you how to NOT do it and how to do correctly, he cleans the cpu and shows you how to put the thermal paste. Have in mind also that he used a acrilyc plate jut to show how the paste spreads in the cpu, you just need to put the little dot in the middle and press it when installing the new cooler.

If you dont plan on buying another paste then just clean it, and install it like is said on the manual.
