Good morning and Merry Christmas, I was curious if there was any significant differences between these two SSDs, which would you choose and why? I'm building a new rig and am not that educated on storage.

Thanks!

In theory, the Samsung is slightly more reliable. As noted by the MTBF numbers.
You would not see any performance difference.

But....any particular reason you considering a 1TB drive? What other drives will be in this system?

Oh, I never really bothered with HDD/SSD combos and SSDs in general are much faster than HDDs.

Yes, SSD's are much, much faster than HDD's. I have several.
But I wouldn't go for a single 1TB drive, personally.

Why is that, if you don't mind me asking?

I much prefer the OS and applications on one drive, other things on other drive(s). In the case of a whole OS reinstall, my movie and music libraries that live on other drives remain intact and untouched. Similar with games.
