Different Clock Speed (Dual Processors)

Hello Everyone,

Is is possible to build a DUAL PROCESSOR workstation where both processors have different clock speeds.?

For eg:

Xeon X5650 2.66 Ghz
Xeon X5680 3.33 Ghz

i believe it is, but the faster cpu will downclock itself to be the same as the slower one. as long as they are both same socket, same specs and such, it SHOULD work, however, i usually dont go around putting 2 1000$+ cpus together :lol:
