Until recently my internet speeds have been fine, and the whole house has been getting 35m/s up and 8m/s down. My laptop is still getting that speed. However in the last couple of days my PC has only been getting 2up and 3 down. I have a Realtek RTL8192CU wireless adapter.
My PC specs are: 8GB Ram, Intel i5 4690k processor, AMD radeon r9 380x (and no I don't have amd quick stream on my PC). I have tried updating drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless adapter, and disabling norton, but nothing has worked. I'd be grateful for any help!

Sounds like you need to move your wireless router to where your computer will get better signal. What sort of wireless NIC is your PC using? Sometimes you can buy an antenna that can move around instead of just having one out the back of the PC.

First, I would scan for malware/viruses and also look at your task manager and see if there are any programs obviously hogging resources.

Also, do a driver check for your network card. You may need to update the drivers or simply reinstall them. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your advice. Unfortunately it didnt work though! Since Wednesday, I wen downstairs and tested with an ethernet cable, and got 35 mbs down. and with my wireless adapter downstairs and got 22mbs down. Went back upstairs to the office and got 1mb down. Unfortunately, I can't move downstairs as there's no space, and I cant run an ethernet cable all the way up the stairs. What should I do?!?
