Hello,

I would like to upgrade my

-- p7p55d evo motherboard ( http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55D_EVO/#specifications )

with

-- new 4 gb (2x2gb) of g.skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ ddr3 ram ( http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=88 )

BUT would like to keep my

-- current 4 gb (2x2gb) of G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO ram (http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=247)

to get a total of 8 gb of RAM.

G.Skill webpage states that they are both compatible with my p7p55d evo motherboard. The problem is that I do not know how the new ram is going to behave since it is not the exact same model s my current set of ram.

My question then, is: if I do not modify anything, will the new ram configure itself and set the same values as my old ram modules?(which are running at 1333mhz - using the JEDEC#4 profile) pictures attached

and: do ram specifications advertisements from sellers refer to custom ratings? or are they JEDEC values?

PS: my old ram is not using xmp, it is running as default.
PS2: i have a vague understanding of what JEDEC is...

Thank you in advance for your time! I really appreciate it

the problem is that they do not sell it any more where i live...
The thing is my old ram is running at 1333 Mhz 9-9-9-24 , not at the advertised 1600 7-8-7-24 because I have not enabled xmp and it is running stock, unmodified.

Since it is running at the default timings, my old ram would not need to downclock cause it would run at the same speed as the new one, am i right?
