Hello.

I bought a bundle for christmas which was an i7700, motherboard and 16 gbs of ram. My current motherboard is a micro and so is the one I bought. I looked on the specs of each (the bundle arrived today) and they are different sizes. My case supports ATX, mATX and ITX. Will this new motherboard be able to fit?

Current MOBO: 78LMT-USB3
New MOBO: h110M-S2H

Thanks.

Note* This new motherboard is SMALLER than my current.

Thank you so much! I got a little scared! Didn't want to rip £470 😀

Just as a followup, each smaller size uses a subset of the largest (ATX) holes for compatibility. If a case is ATX compatible, that means pretty much every board below it will fit except for some of the newer small form factor boards (STX, etc). In addition, some of the mATX boards will be significantly thinner than some of the 'full size' mATX boards. One that I have uses only 6 screws total - the four used for ITX boards, plus two more on the side as it is the full mATX height (9.6"), but only ITX sized in width (6.7"). Thus I guess it's a 'thin' mATX, as the full size mATX is 9.6" x 9.6".

Those dimensions btw are maximum dimensions. However, the holes (as mentioned above) are all very standard.

As reference:

ATX: 12.6" height, 9.6" width
mATX: 9.6" height, 9.6" width
Flex ATX: 9.6" height, 7.5" width
mini ITX: 6.7" height, 6.7" width

So if the case supports micro atx will it support every motherboard that is labelled "micro atx"?

Yes it will , boards that are micro atx do have slightly different measurements sometimes.

Thanks!
