Hi,
So I planning to get a new hard drive and thinking of getting a m.2 drive but the price differences are huge.
The Intel 660p m.2 2tb drive is around $200 in newegg.
And the WD Blue 2tb is around $270.
While the samsung 860 is around $380 (double the intel 660p price).
Silicon Power 2tb $300
HP 2tb $280

Is it worth it to get a 1tb samsung 860 instead of 2tb intel 660p? (same price)
I prefer to get higher capacity and I don't want to spend over $250 or $300. So what is the best option?

Crucial P1 is an NVME drive while the MX 500 is a SATA-3 drive.

The Crucial P1 and Intel 660p both are superior in terms of speed but neither can match the endurance of Samsung 860 Evo which is like 3x.

Yes, the 860 Evo is worth it even though the Intel 660p is slightly faster as it's an NVME drive.

2 TB Intel 660p has an endurance of 400 TBW while the 2 TB Samsung 860 Evo has an endurance of 1200 TBW and both have a 5 year warranty.

What about the other models? The evo 860 price is really high compared to other models.
Crucial has a 1tb m.2 drive that cost around $120. Half the 860 price.

Thanks for the info.

You really need 2TB of SSD storage?
Then get Crucial MX500 2TB. It will be in 2.5" form factor though.

I don't really NEED it but I want to only use ssd for games without the need to move games that I want to play everynow and then.
