Hi guys, I recently upgraded my Mobo and CPU from a FM2+ mobo with a A4-6300 Dual-Core to a AM3 mobo and a FX-6300 6-core.

My question is this, they both say micro-atx, however, the new one is WAY bigger than my old one, it goes almost under the drive bays and more screw holes than the older one.

The reason i'm asking is because I want to buy a Corsair mATX case, and I want to make sure my current mobo isn't too big, and wont fit.

This is the case I want to buy:

This is my old motherboard (the one that i'm using in reference, and also the way shorter one. I actually miss this one for the UEFI my new one doesn't have)

This is the new motherboard I'm using. They have completely updated not only the bios but the look. This motherboard is no longer blue like in the picture, it's completely black. Not sure why:

Okay, so bottom line here is, do companies make their own version of what's "micro"? Has the standard changed and gotten smaller for microatx? (my old mobo is newer than my new one). And most of all will my new one fit in a microatx case? Or was I screwed over and basically given a ATX mobo?

Thanks guys, if you read all of this, I really appreciate it.

It isn't ITX though, it says on the box, and on the site that it's MicroATX but again its way smaller than the new one that's also microatx. Also, I've noticed mATX is a completely perfect square, and a regular ATX is a rectangle. Is that how it works?
