Question Different temperatures from different programs for CPU

Hello guys,

I have a gaming laptop which records around 44C temperatures while idle from CoreTemp.
It also records 28C idles from Speedfan.

I know this is not a problem that only occurs with this laptop because It also occurred on my computer (Speedfan showed lower CPU temperatures than CoreTemp).

Moreover core temp regularly jumps from like 44 to 68 but then back to 44. While speedfan slowly rises when having a lot of tabs open, core temp spikes to the 60's/70's.

Any suggestions guys? Which program should I trust?

Sounds like core temp can't be trusted. Temperatures doesn't jump like that.
