A friend of mine recommended Thermal Grizzly CONDUCTONAUT which is liquid metal and I was just gonna ask is it worth it compared to normal thermal paste since I have never used liquid metal. I will be using it to cool a very hot 7700k and a H115i.
Don't use liquid metal between the IHS and the cooler, it gets really messy and it's hard to remove if the cooler fails. Liquid metal is really for situations where you never plan on taking it apart, like delidding. If your 7700k is running hot, it's probably the thermal paste between the cpu die and the IHS, not the paste you're applying. You can get it delidded professionally for ~$40 or you can do it yourself, but there are risks involved.
