I am working on a project and have run into an issue with the dimensions of video cards. I know that video cards come in many different shapes and sizes, but do companies follow a "guide line" of some sort when it comes to sizes?

Width: I know there are single/dual/triple slot cards have the same thickness just multiply by 1/2/3 depending on the number of slots occupied.

Height: I have never seen a card that is larger than 106mm (check link below). That is the size of the bracket. But I could be wrong.

Length: I have seen pictures like the one below that show short cards vs long cards. Yet at the same time you can find cards like in the video below (which are all long cards) that have almost a 1 inch difference.

Do companies follow a "guide line" of some sort when it comes to sizes? is there a list of dimensions that exist somewhere?

Any help would be amazing! Thank You

There is no real size measurements for cards, the only one is that the back plate can't be higher than the case standard. And of course you can't make a card so tall of long that it won't fit in a large case. So you won't find a 2 foot long card.

Thank for the response. I'm guessing the single or double length is just for the actual electronics board, but the plastic casing around it and the cooling can change the length
