Differrences between EVGA 500B PSU and EVGA 500BV PSU

Guys,im just wondering the difference between those 2 PSUs.Because the EVGA 500B is out of stock so i wondered if the EVGA 500BV got the same quality.thanks

I pretty sure the BV is just a newer version of the B however if your planning on putting this PSU into a gaming system I'd recommend a better quality PSU such as the Corsair CXM.

The bv is just plain bargain basement quality .
I'm not saying it's absolutely dire , for someone who just needs a $20 PSU to run a basic desktop its better than all the generic junk out there.

I just wouldn't run any kind of gaming system with it at all.

To answer your question properly the bv is worse quality than the b1.

Not seen a stripdown but the fact is the bv is only rated for full load @30c.

No excuse for that in this day & age imo, it means component quality has definitely been compromised somewhere to bring the price down.

The psu is actually about 60 dollars in my country.Im considering it because it has 5years warranty?Isn't that longer than the CXM and EVGA B1 warranty?

The bv has a 3 year warranty not 5 year

& no the corsair cxm450 is loads better quality & DOES have a 5 year warranty.
