Hi Guys. I have re-installed Windows 10 after a crash, and also tried to re-install my broadband dongle software (in order to use the internet). I have both a 3g dongle and a 4g one. Each has its own issues and I cannot figure out what is going on. They both worked well on Windows 10 prior to the crash, and also work well on other computers in the house, but not on my own Windows 10.

So starting with the 3g dongle...whenever I plug it into a USB slot, it asks me to install Net Framework 3.5, even though windows 10 has 4.0 already installed. I then try to manually install 4.0 via a usb stick, but it confirms the fact that 4.0 is already installed. Also, installing 3.5 or above via a memory stick will not work and the dongle installation programme eventually closes.

The issue with the 4g dongle is as follows...the whole thing installs perfectly, but what happens next is beyond me. As I dont have wifi, and I use a mobile sim to run the internet, I try to change the settings from wifi to dongle mode. The mode change bar slowly fills up, and is 70% complete, then I get a message saying SWITCH MODE FAILED. I have re installed the software but to no avail. I have noticed that on my relatives computer, if I reinstall the software I get the same SWITCH MODE FAILED message.

I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this issue. Thank you.
