So, I recently purchased a Deepcool AS500 Plus for my new build. I'm using the AM4 socket on a Gigabyte x570s Aorus Elite AX (Rev 1.1) Mobo.
The problem came when I went to mount the cooler and the bracket is getting blocked by the VRM heatsink. It's barely there, like we're talking less than a 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch or less, but it's JUST enough to keep the bracket from securing correctly. So I'm looking for a solution. Aside from the obvious of returning it and getting a different one, because I'm concerned another one will use a similar bracket and also because everything else works perfectly (Ram clearance etc).
Currently, the two solutions I've thought of are to somehow shave off just a bit of the bracket (which wouldn't harm anything in terms of structural integrity) or to try a different mount. I can't seem to find any alternate mounting kits though, aside from a Noctua one that I'm honestly considering. It looks like it "might" work, with the one exception of having to rotate the cooler north/south instead of the intended east/west.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated, even if the general consensus is that it'll have to be returned -_-
