Hello all,
I am asking for help with localizing what could be wrong. My PC BSODs from time to time, sometimes when I am browing the internet, sometimes when the PC is just running and sometimes it doesnť BSOD for entire day. It BSODs less when I am playing games, but it does sometimes. I tried clean windows install, I tried to change RAM for a new one. But it is still happening andd I want to check before I get new motherboard. I tried to run the minidumps through debugger but I dont understand it so I am asking for help here,

Here are the minidumps.:
https://1drv.ms/u/s!AkzN9UaI5Li7s6dvWRoS0CIfN38Yhg?e=B8O2Wh

Thank you for your help

i will look at dumps but I don't see much info on that PSU
link

The hexa is FSP's budget line, they aren't the best but they are built well and I would have no problem using one in a budget system.

I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/wjk0oz7v/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.
File information:052621-11171-01.dmp (May 26 2021 - 14:32:54)

I can't see if there if there is a BIOS update because I'm not sure which revision of the motherboard that you have.

Solution: stop playing games...

but seriously, it could be your lan drivers
Jul 01 2019rt640x64.sysRealtek NICDRV 8169 PCIe GBE Family Controller driver https://www.realtek.com/en/

latest version is 4th link down under windows header - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software
everything else looks pretty new

reminds @gardenman that he was going back to sleep :)

Thanks, gonna try it. Also most of the crashes wasn´t while playing games. Only Cities Skylines can consistently crash my PC. Gonna post again if the PC is stable.

grumbles. I have seen that before, not that I remember it having a specific cause.

there are over 300 BSOD codes but I haven't seen most of them. I think I seen about 20 at most. Always the same ones.

Gardenman might be awake again soon.

i am not sure what the error means. So this could be wrong

what it says
The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.

Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.
Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines.

This bugcheck can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number of opened handles.

It may also occur when the object?s reference count drops below zero whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

layman interpretation: Pointers and objects are to do with C++. I won't pretend to explain them. But I think what it means is there is a value that is increased and decreased by the driver using a pointer, and if another driver interferes and reduces the value before the driver is finished, this error occurs.

that doesn't get me any closer to understanding what is cause.

now as its being a pain, can you run this for me. It will create a zip file, if you can upload it I see if it gives me any clues = https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/

Try updating your sound drivers
https://www.gigabyte.com/au/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver
unlikely but worth a try. I hardly ever see sound be cause.

why only 1 stick of ram? ryzen likes 2 sticks, it thrives on dual channel. You get better game performance with 2 sticks.

Try running memtest86 on your ram stick, up to 4 passes. Only error count you want is 0, any higher could be cause of the BSOD. Remove/replace ram sticks with errors. Memtest is created as a bootable USB so that you don’t need windows to run it

just checking. I know you swapped but its worth checking

@gardenman one more dump in collection app we haven't had? 10875

the ones from earlier in week look like LAN from what I can see on your report as well. So that guess was right. One of these days I won't assume results will be in English :)
it looks like its still a driver to blame

I think I have maybe found the reason, no BSOD so far after I updated the audio driver. Never would have thought that it could be that. I think I didnť update it properly because the installer goes into a loop of installs and uninstalls, and you need to manually remove the driver from device manager. I´ll post an update after a few days.
Also thank you @Colif and @gardenman for your help and time, it´s greatly appreciated.

Could it be a faulty motherboard causing this?
There is no way to test motherboards. What you do is check everything else works and if it all does, through a process of elimination, you can say it is MB. That or get a repair store to swap all your parts onto a known working board and see if same errors occur. I don't recommend just randomly replacing motherboard, I prefer to know for sure before spending money.

Its Ryzen 3600, with gigabyte aorus b450 elite mb,16 GB ram in single channel, with amd rx580 graphics and ssd adata xpg in m.2 with the system installed on it, and some sata drives, and fortron hexa 85+ 650w supply
So you tested ram so far
try running this on NVME - https://www.adata.com/us/support/consumer?tab=downloads&download=online
Try running Prime 95 on CPU - - https://www.mersenne.org/download/
Prime 95 how to Guide: http://www.playtool.com/pages/prime95/prime95.html

I doubt its GPU if it crashes while not in games. Or at least, it happens less in game

because it doesn't happen in games as much could mean its PSU still.
ryzen cpu can tax PSU by the way they respond to actions, it will wake a CPU core, boost it as fast it needs to be, and then race it back down to idle. Often some of my cores are doing 5.7mhz as they asleep. The race to idle can mess with some PSU.

PSU almost as hard to test as MB. There are ways but best is a Multimeter and I have to guess you don't have one.
this might show something - in the BIOS to check the +3.3V, +5V, and +12V. - https://www.lifewire.com/power-supply-voltage-tolerances-2624583 - since it doesn't need to be under load.
