I wiped my hdd and now I cant install XP from the insatallation disc. It reads the disc and then I get a blank screen. I cant get any bootable discs to work. I have the BIOS set up correctly. My pc was shut down before I could finish adding partitions etc.

Your BIOS is set up correctly, as in you have your hdd at the top of the list for your boot priorities, right?

If not, that shouldn't be a problem anyway.. Just a guess.
Anyway, if you can see the splash screen when you start your computer, there's usually an option to boot from disk, or you can select that option in your BIOS.
However, if your problem is that when you try to format your hard drive using the windows disk and it shuts off at that point...that's a serious problem. One thing at a time, though.

Try the same thing without an hdd attached. It should still go up to the point where it asks which hard drive you want to install windows on, but not show anything on the list. If that doesn't happen, then there's something else going wrong in your computer.
