Digital cable decoder for windows media built in tv tuner

i got a brand new hp touch smart 600 pc and i searched for signals but it wont let me watch any channels that i can get without the box is there something i can dl to open the channels i pay for without a set top box

There really isn't a software package that you download to allow for viewing of encrypted/scrambled channels. You can install something like this (see below) and then get Comcast to activate to allow its use. Cable companies are starting to support such devices and you shouldn't have a problem with Comcast.
