Digital Photo Frame Resolution and Wi-Fi

I'm thinking about purchasing a digital photo frame for a relative and I just wanted some opinions on some features.

1. Resolution: I'm looking at 12 or 15 inch frame and see that they have a 1024x768 resolution and 720p video. Is that fine or should I look for something with a larger resolution?

2. Some of them come with wi-fi and cloud storage for uploading photos from the web (like Facebook and such). Do you find that useful or is it something people don't really use? (It's for my sister who uses Facebook). These features increase the price of the frame.

I bought a few like that a few years ago... And don't even know where they are now.
We just stream slideshows to the tv now.

Most of no-name picture frames have crappy screen. 1024x768 will look acceptable on 12", and probably on 15".
As for WiFi - if you will give this to your grandma, possibility to update photos remotely will be highly appreciated. Of course, someone will have to set it up at the granny' place 😉
