Question DIMM C1 and C2 are abnormal 😩

At first It was slots B1 and B2... Then I swapped around my memory sticks and now it's C1 and C2. There are a total of 8 DIMM RAM slots.
I'm wondering if there is a way to correct this abnormality in BIOS. Would a flash to the most recent BIOS help at all? Or is it potentially a damaged dim slot or RAM stick?
Computer specs are as follows:
Asus x79 deluxe
I74960x, Asetek 120mm aio
EVGA 2080ti xc-ultra, Idcool 240mm aio
64gb Kingston 1333mhz 8gb per stick

Verify via the motherboard's User Guide/Manual and the manufacturer's website that you are installing supported RAM in a supported configuration.

Look for the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) regarding RAM.

Also remember that some motherboards require that the first physically installed RAM be placed in a specific slot.

I will double check for compatibility. And I will reseat in the order stated in the manual.

But would seating order really matter if I am using all 8 DIMM slots?

Seating matters if some given order of installation is specified by the motherboard's manufacturer.

I have not noted any requirements beyond just the insertion of the first physically installed RAM needing to go into a specific slot.

The motherboard's User Guide/Manual should be explicit with regards to supported RAM and RAM configurations. Especially with 8 DIMM slots.

So I have checked the QVL and the ram I am using is supported for 6 slots. For 8 slots I will need different ram. I had no idea that a mb could support a specific number of types of ram 2/4/6/8. How interesting. I will purchase ram that is 8 DIMM compatible.
