I have a Kontron DIMM-PC®/386-I and the program is broken. I searched the internet and found out that the bias information can be updated with a program called JRC1. I corresponded with the Kontron company, but they said that they do not support this module. I want to interact with it and change the bias information. can you help me?

Not sure about the terminology being used - this module?

https://www.kontron.com/download/do...ds/datasheets/dimm-pc386-ie.pdf&product=86778

"bias"?

Do you mean BIOS?

In any case, there may well be some program (JRC1 or otherwise) that can update the BIOS.

What is or is not happening to draw the conclusion that the "program is broken"?

Did Kontron say why the module(?) is unsupported? Or perhaps "no longer supported"?

You may well be able to accomplish an update via JRC1 or some similar program. I do not know.

However, there is a likely risk that the update may "brick" or otherwise ruin the module.

More information is needed. What OS (Operating System) is installed? Usage?

Hi Ralston. Thank you for your answer.
Sorry, the BIOS is correct.
I have a module that is already programmed and all the information I had from it is broken. I bought a new module and I want to program it and I need JRC1 software. I contacted Kontron and they said that this software is "no longer" supported. Now I need JRC1 or similar software to do this. can you help me?

Not sure about "no longer supported". That is not the same as "no longer avialable.

Do you still have the original software in some form? Maybe via a previous system/data backup?

Otherwise you might still be able to download the software via Kontron or some other source (risky)...

I found this:

https://www.kontron.com/en/products/jrc1/p87255

Plus, if you purchased a new module then that module should have, I would think, have included the necessary software.

Kontron company told me:

"Unfortunately we can´t provide you the software since your requested product is discontinued for too many years.
But you could find more information and the software at archive.org.
If you have any questions on other products of us, we would be happy to answer them
We are very sorry that we can´t help you any further here and wish you a great day.
Best regards,"

I don't have the software and I want to program another module using the software.
I searched all Kontron sites and archive sites that had the old files of this site but could not find them.
Also, I bought the modules from eBay and various sources, and the seller didn't have the software either.

I found the following links:

https://archive.org/search.php?query=JRC1

And that led me to:

https://web.archive.org/web/20220000000000*/JRC1

I also found other posts that you have made:

https://www.electro-tech-online.com/threads/dimm-pc-386-i.164305/

A google using "how to edit jrc1 software" and filtering to Images found quite a number of hits.

And I came across a Part Number:

Part Number 96047-. 0000-00-0

A google search seemed to find potential sources for the software.

One of which again was Kontron:

Try contacting other companies that have used or may be using Kontron products. Hopefully someone will be able to help thereafter.
