In THG's "Beginner's Guide to Motherboard Selection" it says, "For example, several Micro ATX and smaller motherboards provide only two memory slots, both wired to a single memory channel, making a dual-channel capable memory controller pointless. Certainly, it's best to have at least four DIMM slots".

The MSI K9N4 Ultra-F in the Day1 Marathon has only 2 DIMM slots, and 1 DIMM of 1 GB. The article says that the system is only utilizing 1 mem channel, since only one DIMM slot is used. So I suppose the 2nd slot is wired to the 2nd channel. In the Beginner's Guide article it says "several Micro ATX and smaller motherboards provide only two memory slots, both wired to a single memory channel, making a dual-channel capable memory controller pointless", and that it is best to have a 4 DIMM slot MB, so as to utilize both channels.

How do you know that the MB is wired to utilize both channels when it only has 2 DIMM slots..??? And, yes I realize that the Day 1 MB is an ATX FF.
