DIMM with UDIMM ram together?

There are a few different types of DIMMs. RDIMM (registered DIMM) and UDIMM (unbuffered), and usually that's related to ECC type RAM. Registered DIMMS (RDIMMS) are always ECC. UDIMMS could be ECC or non-ECC. The Kingston stick is a non-ECC DIMM, which is evident. The Crucial stick is a non-ECC as well. As for compatibility, that is somewhat up in the air as sometimes mixing RAM manufacturers can result in incompatibilities. I would make sure that you run it at the stock 1600mhz frequencies, and if you have issues, try running it one step slower (1333mhz instead of the default 1600mhz) to see if that works.

And next time, try to get the same stick if you're doing a capacity increase, it makes things much easier.

Oh. I didn't know. Because when I did some research, people said that it doesn't matter if you have different ram brands, as long as it's compatible with the mobo

But let's say that they're compatible, will they work as fine as if I bought a kit? Because I wanna know what could happen if they're not compatible and is it gonna affect the performance?
