i read somewhere that windows vista is gonna come with direct X10 which they claim " a huge leap in graphics technology......."
is this true? well i think its bound to be. my question is, is it worth buying a graphic card on the verge of a new technological break through? specially dual gfx card systems? is there sth like a "forward compatibility system"????
maybe nvidia is waiting to unleash the 7900 with teh DX10!!!!! i mean think abt, same family core, but with DX10.

Direct X 10 is not going to be released with Windows Vista. The Geforce 7900 will not have Direct X 10 support.

maybe 7900 will not have DX10, but what if Windows vista does come with DX10?? i mean look at the series: XP came with DX9, Win 2000 came with DX8, 98 with DX7!!!
it maybe like the time we all switched to DX9 from DX8.

i read that Vista is now more focused on gamin just like XP was on networking. i heard they had a "tray and play" function (no installation, yay!)
i guess we gotta wait to find out.

Yeah, you don't need a card with directx 10 support for it to work with Vista, Vista will only run better on a card with D10 lol why would you want the stupid visuals anyways? they just take up precious memory and lengthen the startup time
