Direct X 11 Support?

I want to know if my laptop can support directX 11.
I've read articles that indicate it does and several that say it does not.

Intel 2nd Gen Core I3 with HD 3000 graphics.
Windows 8.

Naturally, the computer says that DirectX 10.1 is installed. I attempted to play Red Faction using the direct x 10/11 settings and it was unplayable, but when I reverted to directX 9 is ran as good as could be expected.

So, will the HD 3000 support DirectX 11?

if it plays at all in directx 11 mode it supports it. just the slow intel GPU cant handle all the eyecandy and be smooth.

Steam called it Direct X 10/11 mode, so I am actually not certain that it was playing in DirectX 11 mode. And, I don't have Direct X 11 installed so actually, I am sure it wasn't playing in DX 11 mode. . .

PS: I had the setting set pretty low and it was still unplayable.

Install the latest driver and yes it supports directx 11
