Direct x11 will it be able to play directx9.0c games?

I'm new to pc gaming and steam has got some sales on some games that i want and i read in the specifications that directx 9.0c is needed, but i have directx11 installed and also got a directx11 graphic card.
Will i beable to run directx 9.0c games on directx 11? If not what do i have to do to make the games run?

Direct X is backwards compatible. If you have a direct X 11 video card then you'll be able to play games that require Direct X 11 or lower. With that said, what games you will be able to play is dependent on the video card that you have, not that direct x version you have installed.

If you go to run and type dxdiag windows will tell you what graphics card you have and what direct x versions it's capable of.

It would be very helpful if you would run dxgiag command, under the display tab tell us what the name of the GPU is.

If you asking if you can have DX11 and DX9 games installed at the same time, then the answer is yes.
