With the new dx12 api fast approaching, Microsoft have made claims that their new api brings a lot more performance for PC gamers.
They added by explaining how it will utilize more cores and hyper threading to bring out the most of your CPU be it Intel or AMD.
For a long time AMD's 8 cores were only ever half in use as games never tend to use more than 4 cores.
But we all know the i5 is single core based, so can we expect to see much boost for Intel's i5 range? On the otherhand, AMD's fx 8350 and other amd 8 core CPUs will make the most out of dx12. Or will they?
Will we see a leap in performance for current AMD 8core cpus to allow them to beat their rival intel i5's in gaming benchmarks?
Am I, and a lot of other gamers better off staying with AMD?
Logical discussion with as little fanboism please
