Directx 12 compatibility

Would that new directx work with previous gens like gtx 600 gtx 700 series or it would work on certain futuristic products?

Unlikely, but microsoft hasn't given many details about it so there is no way to know

they are backward compatible. it would be wrong if they break that.
it's just the new features that may not be supported
