[strike]GTX 750 is GM 107 chip and based on above article will fully support 12.0 version of DirectX[/strike]

Well thats weird, now I'm getting confused:

In the table shows that Maxwell GM1XX will support 12_0 FutureLevel
then they write this:

"Nvidia’s various 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, and 7xx families will all support DirectX 12 at the 11_0 or 11_1 feature level, with the GTX 750 Ti offering FL 12_0 support."

This way or another , its not like you gonna have new GPU, certainly it will work, just some specific functions of DX will not be available.

hope you're right, thx :)

Btw, will this new kind of DX improve the overall performance in games ?

Well, #yolo. I'll come back with an feedback about DX12 after installing Win10, if it works or not. Cya later then :bounce:

And one more thing : Will CPU be affected by this new improvement ? I mean i saw somewhere something about that CPU will take more of work than the GPU... and i ain't got any super-powered CPU, so i'm looking more for GPU overloading...

As you can see on the chart shows that GM1XX will have a bit higher level of compatibility so not exactly as Keppler.
For sure all those chipsets from the table will support DX 12 but at some kind of compatibility level, all previous chips will also work but in previous version of DX.
Its like with previous OS's, while Win7 has build in DX11 it doesn't mean older GPU's won't work, just that games won't run natively in this mode, but in some previous one, obviously if those games support any previous one.

Now about performance improvement I'm not sure since there might be even some in games that won't natively run it. We won't know it until some tests are done. Improvements might not come directly from DX12 but general optimization of the OS.

I'm seriously curious myself... but this CPU dependency optimizations will likely only work if a game runs natively in DX 12, so the game has to support this mode as well.
So there might be some patches thrown from the game developers.. but based on history of Mantle i have a mixed feelings and expectations about games that are already on the market.

I said GM107 will work exactly like Kepler because nvidia did not add anything new to GM107 when it comes to hardware that affect API support. Then I tried looking back to review done by anandtech:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/7764/the-nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-ti-and-gtx-750-review-maxwell/2
http://www.anandtech.com/show/8526/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-review/4

The chart above qualify GM107 as 12_0 compliant because it mention GM107 support Type UAV format. But according to anandtech review GM107 was design the same as Kepler in term of API support. They never talk about GM 107 have support for Type UAV format which is one of the new feature that comes with DX11.3.

Anyway some said that the chart above might not accurate. They said it is not from from MS themselves but someone that have seen MS slide/document. Then the guy compiled the info into a chart so it is easier to understand and make comparison to. So the guy might make some mistake. Probably need to ask Ryan Smith of Anandtech himself if Maxwell gen one have support for typed UAV load.

EDIT: also the list above listing Kepler supporting FL 11_1. That is true and false at the same time? It is a bit confusing but officially Kepler only compliant to DX 11_0 spec because it does not supporting all the feature of DX 11.1. but it doesn't mean Kepler have no access to FL 11_1 at all. In the past nvidia already explain that Kepler support all FL 11_1 that needed by games only leaving out feature that is not relating to gaming only. As anandtech explained in their article Kepler based card can still access FL 11_1 feature by cap bits. Maxwell version 2 support all the feature to be fully compliant with FL 11_1.

umm... after some time killed it did install.. seems to be pretty well made, it's kinda huge difference from Win7 to 10 but so far so good. Only thing i don't like it's the appearance of the "windows' windows" - they are a stock white, the Aero theme of 7 was better than this one and yet i couldn't find a way to change it but i doubt i won't find a way for it.

Anyway, the DX12 :

DxDiag confirms the DX12 so far... As there are no yet Dx12 made games, i'm waiting to get further updates to see if there are performance changes or not.

And that's it.. GTX 750 1GB's Asus version supports DirectX 12
