directx 12 need new motherboard?

i'm saying it's incorrect to put gpu in the same category as an os. the only os that supports direct x 12 is windows 10. if you want to say that, then you forgot to add motherboard in there. either way the comparison is not correct. they are totally not related. that's like getting your apples and oranges mixed up.

oh, one more thing op... if you want to fully utilize direct x 12, you need a direct x 12 motherboard also, with gpu and os. it will work on older hardware that doesn't have direct x 12, but on numerous sites that i've read, you can't fully utilize it without the hardware supporting direct x 12. it will still be compatible, just can't take full advantage of direct x 12. either way, the only os direct x 12 is compatible with is windows 10, software isn't as flexible.
