DirectX 12 not active on my windows 10?

Im trying to download Forza Apex beta but its grayed out I found out that you must have DX12 other wise you can't download it. I made sure my windows 10 is all up to date and i installed the latest drivers for my graphics card which is a gtx 570HD which is supported for dx12. None of this helped and when I typed dxdiag in run it shows directX version as 11.3. How can I get directx12 to be active?

The Fermi chips were supposed get the updated driver for DX12 but as of a couple of moths ago it still had not gotten the patch in the drivers. So unless something changed just recently then the GTX 570HD has not had the DX12 support enabled in the latest driver version.
