"directx surface unavailable" error message

i have a couple games that give me this error when i try
to save the game during gameplay, but have been unable to
find any site or anyone that can explain what the hell
this means.

I wasable to usearestre point on my windows XP and the problem went away. This is especially important to me since RichDad stopped supporting cash flow as of 12/2009
