Once again, thanks for the heads up and the link. What do you see as an improvement with this new DX8.1 version? MS was suppose to already have the DX8.1 version out, I wonder what is delaying them.

Well I've have downloaded and running it now in W2K. Only one beta file MFC42.exe (Microsoft Field Class DLL) must be for the SDK for Directx. So it appears that DX8.1 is about to be released.
