Disable AMD Turbo

Hi,

how in the world do you turn off amd Turbo in the Bios as its greyed out for me?? doesnt give me the option to overclock further as it fights back any overclocking i do and resets the clock everytime haha, any ideas on how to disable it as its locking me at 4.7ghz while playing games and turbos up to 5ghz while not playing its dumb haha turbo doesnt work how its supposed to!

any ideas would be appreciated.

Specs would be nice:
-- motherboard model?
-- BIOS version?
-- CPU?
-- aftermarket cooler yes/no?

Note that, unless you've got one of the FX-9500 series installed, you're most certainly overclocked (FX-8350/8370 base clocks are only 4.0GHz, with Turbo up to 4.5GHz; the 4.7/5.0GHz you're getting is well past that).

Motherboard - MSI 990FXA gaming

Bios version is the latest one cant remember the name just deleted the file i used to flash it

CPU - fx 9590

cooler - corsair h100i GTX

and i would like to go over 5ghz as im 100% sure i should be able to as my cpu temps never go over 40*c at full load

Well, there's the problem. The FX-9590 is already pre-OC'd (overclocked FX-8350), so you're not going to really be able to push it a whole lot higher.

okay but still the turbo option doesnt allow me to use the full 5ghz while gaming only goes up to 4.7ghz any ideas ??
