Question Disable Background Processes

I am trying to remove some Windows 10 Background Processes and Windows Processes that are unnecessary but have trouble disabling all of them and need help. I've got like 50 Background Processes and 90 Windows Processes its ridiculous. Half of them are like Service Host something. I've uninstalled as much programs as I can but I still find the computer running a bit too hard. Please help!

since about windows 10 version 1709, Microsoft have removed service hosts from the groups they were in before - there used to only be 15 or so groups - so now every service in win 10 now has a service host. Its not that there are more now, its just you can see them.

If you have removed the service the host is for, it won't run so why remove it?

what are specs of PC? removing services isn't going to help in most cases. what is the problem?

I'm just trying to cut down on whatever is unnecessary stuff on my Asus UX330UAR i5 8250u 8GB ram laptop. I have done everything I can in the hardware department but there is a bit of fan noise from having too many processes running in Windows 10. If I can cut back on it just a tad bit more then the noise will reduce to the point where I can totally ignore. Basically I can still hear a whirring sound from the fan running in the laptop. I've managed to cut down that noise immensely through app uninstallations and would like an opinion on what else I can cut down on.

P.S. I forgot to mention I tend to leave a tab or two with chrome running so the resources probably come from there. How do I stop chrome from hogging resources?

looking at screenshots, the only processes using any CPU are desktop windows manager and you can't run windows without it.

Most processes in list now are using 0 CPU, Ram usage won't increase fan noise as there is no cooling on ram.

I don't think it is going to change the fan noise.

I'm sorry, but it's not Windows that's the problem, but your lack of understanding of how Windows works (and always has worked - as Colif noted all that's changed for the most part is how the information is presented, not what was happening).

The people who create and maintain OSes, all of them, optimize processing to the Nth degree. It is a fool's errand to think you (any you) are going to know better than they do about what the OS needs to run, and when.

Just leave well enough alone!

Ok thanks I learned a lot there. I just browsed through what you linked and I think I will leave things as is since it seems to be the best option. I didn't realize that windows 10 would show so many things running in task manager like that so I kinda got surprised by it. Thanks again for having the patience of teaching me. I will reread the links later.
