Disable Firewall Fios Actiontec

I want to disable my router firewall but im afraid of the safety precautions. I had someone else say the nat table does most of the work and all of the pcs have good anti virus and they all have windows firewall turned on im doing this for my consoles to decrease ping. will this work and what in reality is the likelyhood of getting hacked

and is the routers dmz the same as disabling the firewall

In the FiOS Actiontec router, I see no option to turn it 'off'
Maximum
Typical (default)
Minimum

I just turned mine from Typical to Minimum, and saw zero change in ping time going to www.google.com
All between 22-25ms before and after.

well when you read it the minimun pretty much takes all off but idk ill try it and anyone pls respond with your ideas and stuff

and is dmz the same as firewall off for one ip

Right. Pretty much no firewall.
But zero difference in the ping to the same destination.

The top 4 is with Typical, the bottom 4 is with Minimum
