Hello community. I hope this is the right forum for my question.

Here is my scenario.

My wife homeschools our children. She has a dual monitor setup. Main monitor uses DVI and the second monitor uses VGA. She wanted to use our HDTV as a third monitor so she can mirror her screen to the TV during her lecture. My motherboard has a DVI, VGA, and HDMI port. When I plugged in the HDMI, I got picture on the TV but the DVI monitor went black. After some research, I found that DVI and HDMI can't work simultaneously because of bandwidth issues. I understand the limitations but I wanted to find a workaround.

I was hoping that while she's using the TV and the VGA during school, if there is a way she can disable the HDMI so the DVI reappears once she's done and re-enable the HDMI when she starts school? The only way I found to accomplish this is to physically unplug the HDMI cable which is not very convenient. For the life of me, I have not been able to find any settings to disable HDMI. I couldn't find anything in the control panel, device manager, or the Catalyst control center. Is there any way to do this? Does anyone have other workarounds. Thanks!

My onbard card is an ATI Radeon HD 4250. I'm using Windows 7.
