Disable hyperthreading on a 3820QM

I need to disable hyperhreading on a 3820QM i7. No option available in the BIOS.

XTU software can disable hyperthreading on many i7 machines. But, the 3820QM is not on the list of supported machines. Can anyone tell me if it is safe to try to disable hyperthreading on this machine with the XTU software utility?

I don't think a software can do that, if the BIOS won't allow it.
May I ask, is there a specific reason you have to disable hyper-threading?
Which laptop do you have?
