disable integrated graphics card in order to use expansion card on a HP pavilion p7-1257cb

I am trying to disable an internal graphics card on my HP pavilion p7-1257cb computer to enable my new graphics card to take over as the primary card. What are the steps needed to accomplish changing the bios for the better external graphics card to take over so I can actually play games rather than watch blurry shapes lol. Thanks

It should see that there is a video card installed and use that one. If not then Somewhere in the BIOS there is a setting for Primary Video Adapter and you can select like Onboard, PCI, or PCIe. Select PCIe
