Disable Windows update

hi, iam using win 8.1. how to disable win 8.1 update feature permanently.

that is a most unwise move as you wont get any security updates making your machine vulnerable to attack.the setting i use is to disable automatic updates but download them and let me decide when or if to install them.a little research on the updates will tell you whether you likely need them or not.and never install them right away but rather wait a week or so after "patch tuesday" so microsoft can find and pull the bad ones.
