I have found out that I can still write to my Android phone and SD card installed. Also there the possibility to use cloud storage is still opened. So I don't see the point why USB stick are prohibited. I can't kill the process in Sysinternals process explorer or rename the file using a safe boot. What else I can try? Is there any hardware to let me plug the USB stick in phone while have it connected to my PC by cable?

What exactly is the end requirement?

Are you trying to transfer data files: photos, music, etc..? What source and what target: For example SD to USB or SD to PC disk drive....?

What process are you trying to kill in Sysinternals? Why? References?

You might be able to install the USB stick in either the PC or the Android phone and then share the USB drive to other devices.

More information needed.

I would like to write data files (from PC) which I need for work to USB stick. USB stick appears to be read only according to company policy. This rule is blocking me to work normally in our lab and can be bypass only temporary at special request what is waste of time. We have some PCs which are not connected to our network not to be limited by company secure policy.

I was trying to kill process McAfee DLP Endpoint service (fcags.exe) which prevent writing to USB stick. Sysinternals suppose to be able to kill all processes which can not be killed by Task manager. Do you know better process killer?

For now I copy files from my to my phone and then from phone to PC in lab but I would like to use ordinary USB stick.

You should not be circumventing or attempting to circumvent company policy. Even if you have found a workaround that allows you to copy the files then actually doing so could get you fired for security violations.

You must work out the copying issues within your company, your lab, and the applicable/appropriate security staff.

The rules of this Forum prohibit assistance with hacking, bypassing passwords, or otherwise assisting with violating or otherwise circumventing security measures.

Closing thread accordingly.
