Question Disabled Disk and recovering data ?

Hi,

I have a partition, I formatted it then I disabled it thru Disk Management. When disabled, it wont appear in my computer.

Now, i enabled the partition again thru Disk Management. And i want to recover the formatted data.

Does this disabling and enabling thru Disk Management affect the recovery process? Is the Disk intact so i can recover my data without any issues?

Usually it doesn´t have an effect, but all alterations can corrupt data, so be careful while recovering your data

When you try this, you MUST recover to some other drive.
NOT recover in place.

How do you disable a partition?
Can you show any screenshots?

To my knowledge - partitions can be deleted, formatted, drive letter assigned/removed.
I have no idea, how you would disable a partition.
Or did you mean setting disk to offline mode?

Offline mode is the closest thing. The HDD is in my PC, however, it does not appear in "my computer". I have to go to Disk Management to create a new volume so it appears again in my computer.
It is like i made it disappear.

So you deleted the partition?
Deleting a partition and recreating it - is a completely different thing from
disabling and enabling.
