Hey guys, so recently, either my headset cable or connector seems to have messed up. If I plug it all the way into my laptop or tablet, it produces a very weird sound. I was able to combat that by not fully plugging in my headset into the jack, to make it work like it normally did. The problem is, I have to mute my PC sound. If I don't mute my pc sound, I hear the music in both my headset and speakers. Normally this wouldn't be a problem. But I do record Youtube videos, and I need to be able to have the audio from my PC heard, and if I have my PC on mute, even though I can hear the audio, the recording doesn't pick up the audio. Here's my Realtek settings and such. Corsair hs30 headset. Asus k55n-db81 laptop.

Here's the thing. It's not so much a weird sound. The problem is there's no vocals. Whenever I would listen to a song, it would almost be like listening to an instrumental. I could try to demonstrate it the best I could if you would like.

So I figured a quick video would be the easiest way to demonstrate it.

It's the exact same point in the song, but you can hear that with the headset how I currently have it, you can hear the lyrics, while with the headset fully plugged in, you can't hear it at all. Like I said, happens with my tablet as well. Doesn't happen on either with a different pair of headphones. I would use the other pair but the other pair is snapped in half so I only use them when I'm going to sleep before bed.
