Hi,
Although the video adapters listed with ! mark next to it, which means the driver is not properly installed, it is functioning well.

?However, when disabling the Plug and play device(Display adapter) caused the problem permanently unrecovery.
In Windows XP SP1, I have disabled the VGA adapter as follows:

1-While on Windows XP, I clicked on desktop 'right-click', then I chose 'display' properties.

2- Then, I chose the 'disable this device'(Don't use this device)

3- Aftre disabling the display adapter, and saved settings, then I was promted to restart my PC. Once the Windows XP loaded well unti 'logo of Windows XP', then no display was shown in the minoter, as if it's turned off. then no Welcome' message shown, no desktop icon everything is balck as if the monitor is turned off. It is not a windows boot problem since the windows is working very well. However, vga is disabled.

I wanted to re-enable the VGA adapter, however, I couldn't see anything on the screen although the Windows XP is working well. However, vga is turned off.
To solve the problem, I tried:
First: I have tried unplugging, and plugging my monitor, however, it didn't solve the problem, although that my monitor is plug and play device, which means it should be enabled again once unplug and plug again.

Second: I booted to the safe mode, however, it didnn't load.

Third: Thounsands of thanks, for a Disc imaging software,(such as Macrium Reflect), which I used be creating a system Image before disabling the vga adapter. Then, when all the first, and second suggestions failed in recovering VGA dapter(to enabling vga again), I booted to Windows PE based Macrium Rescue CD, and restored the image file created previously. Then, every got back.

My question is: as long as the Windows XP is loading well(it is not a windows boot problem, however, it is a display setting configuration). Thus, I will not find a way to enable the vga without needing to restore my image system.

Thanks a lot,
Have you seen my screen shots?
I am quite happy that you have understood me. I have restored my system from Macrium system Image backup, however, if I had not had it, what would I have done. So, could you kindly reply to my points below?

First: I wish that I could find a way precluding me from restore my system compeletely from an image file. Also, if you understood my problem well, don't think that this insignificant problem will force me to resotre my system from an image. NOTE, there is no anything shown in the screen in order to get rid of this error.

Second: as long as my mointior is plug and play device, then why was not re-enabled again once unplugged and plugged?

Third: If I had borrowed another VGA, then any settings done while new borrowed VGA was functioning would lose when I connect my old VGA. Thus, re-enabling my old video adapter would be unacceptable

Fourth: NOTE: I have disabled the standard VGA (before installing its drivers). So, can disabling standard VGA in all Computer brands will result in losing the display(picture)

Fifth: I have disabled the standard VGA (before installing its drivers). So, If I have defined the standard VGA, then can disabling definied standrad VGA will result in the same problem?

Finally: I would find any way to run a command on 'MSDOS Command' while on the rescuing environment of recovery program, for instance, Macrium Rescue CD, or others.
