Hi,
I use 3 monitors in an Nvidia surround setup, mainly for productivity. I also play games, but prefer doing this using only one of the monitors. I wanted to know if it's possible to disable the surround monitors while gaming, so that GPU resources are not wasted on maintaining the Windows desktop on the other two monitors.
It seems that I can sometimes do this randomly...for example, I'll start a game in full screen mode, 1920x1080 resolution, and my other two monitors will default to a black screen. Perfect. But then, say there's a Windows alert or I have to alt-tab out for some reason, when I go back into the game, my other monitors will remain on the Windows desktop.
I know the easy answer is just to enable/disable surround in the Nvidia Control Panel as needed, but this is kind of a pain to configure each time, and I'd rather find a more convenient solution.
Thanks!
